The Swiss construction sector is facing profound change. In TeleZüri's CEO Talk, Giuseppe Santagada, CEO of the ERNE Group, talks about climate targets, the circular economy and the future of construction.

A technology centre is being built in Laufenburg on the former Swissgrid site. The centrepiece of the new building, which covers an area of over 20,000 m², is the world’s largest and most advanced battery storage facility, as well as a data centre for artificial intelligence.

At the ERNE Leadership Meeting 2026 held at the Haus der Wirtschaft, over 130 executives from the ERNE Group gathered under the leadership of Giuseppe Santagada to reflect on the past year, refine priorities, and share best practices.

Over 800 ERNE Group employees celebrated an exuberant party full of music, community and Bavarian festivities at the traditional ERNE Oktober-Fäscht. On November 13, 2025, the Prix SVC Nordschweiz was awarded in Basel. We are proud that we as the ERNE Group were among the five nominees - a recognition of the path we have taken as an entrepreneurial group: clearly managed, market-oriented and with the ambition to actively shape the future.

At the Best of Research 2025, nine Swiss university teams presented innovative research contributions - Giuseppe Santagada CEO of the ERNE Group spoke about tradition and innovation.

As a partner of the Swiss Arc Award, the ERNE Group presented the prize in the "Education and Health" category to Herzog & de Meuron.

With the Stöcklimatt development, ERNE Immo AG has created an attractive residential neighbourhood in Frick comprising five apartment blocks and 82 flats. Three of the buildings are being let, whilst two are being sold as freehold properties. The result is a diverse range of housing options in the heart of Frick.

In the greater Aarau area, the ERNE Group has developed the sustainable residential neighbourhood ‘Baumgarten’ on the former site of the Hauenstein Nursery in Küttigen. A variety of housing designs by three architects offer a high standard of living and privacy. The location, close to the River Aare and the centre of Aarau, combines tranquillity with a high quality of life.

Last week, we welcomed 28 new apprentices to the ERNE Group. Our Welcome Days offered a first insight into the ERNE world.

For the third time, swissreputation.group and pressrelations schweiz analyzed media coverage of the construction and real estate industry. Once again, the ERNE Group was ranked second out of the 25 companies analyzed.

Giuseppe Santagada, CEO of the ERNE Group, was once again voted one of the 100 leading personalities in the Swiss real estate industry in 2025 - a further recognition of his commitment and influence in the sector.

What a special moment: our apprentices have successfully passed the qualification process. With dedication, hard work and perseverance, they have achieved great things over the past few years. Their development into competent professionals fills us with pride and joy.

The founding family of the ERNE Group is sending a clear signal for the future viability of the family business: Giuseppe Santagada, CEO of the ERNE Group since January 1, 2024, is assuming entrepreneurial responsibility as a minority shareholder and becoming a partner in the group of companies.

To the applause of the invited guests, Marcel Aumer, CEO of the FlexBase Group, performed the symbolic ground-breaking ceremony for the project of the century with the ERNE excavator on May 5.

The FlexBase Group receives the building permit for the FlexBase Technology Center Laufenburg. The ground-breaking ceremony will take place in the next few weeks, with commissioning planned for summer 2028. ERNE is realizing this project of national importance.
